CODEFEST IIT(BHU) 2016

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT(BHU) Varanasi, India and CITRIX, present our annual coding festival - Codefest 2016 in association with TravelKhana, ELIGIBLE  and Microsoft ​to be held from 26th - 28th February, 2016.
Codefest is an umbrella of competitive events across various fields and disciplines of Computer Science and Technology, and aims to promote awareness and appreciate the diversity & importance of the fields of Computer Science and Technology.  It​ features a slew of events ranging from the popular events like ​Algorithmic​ ​P​rogramming and A​pp D​evelopment while incorporating upcoming trends in core computer science like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Information Security.





Various Events to be organized are:
 
​​Manthan:  An online programming contest which stresses rigorously on core of computer science i.e application of data structures and algorithms for complex problem solving.

Enigma: From driverless cars to personalized recommendations, voice search to automatically organizing your photos, Machine Learning is everywhere now. Recognizing this, Codefest presents Enigma, an unprecedented competitive forum to design innovative models that train themselves to solve specific real life problems.

Decipher: Decipher is an interesting mathematical cum programming contest in the area of Cryptography. The participants shall use their deducing, cryptography and programming skills to decrypt a set of messages provided. It aims to introduce the participants to the area of Information Security.

Appathon: An exciting application development contest which offers participants the opportunity to showcase their creativity and skills. The application may be a mobile app on any platform- Android, Windows, iOS, or even a webapp.
